Default Are you kidding me?

Apparently our family has the world's worst luck with cellphones. We have had the same ones for years. We finally decided to get new, ones and I ordered them online. They come in the mail, we go to activate them and they have the wrong SIM card. Not one of them, but both of them. Now we have to wait 3-5 days for a new card to be delivered. We didn't find that out until I spent two hours on the phone this morning trying to get them activated. To top it all off...the old one ended up in the washing machine last night!

That is terrible! I have had bad luck with cell phones myself. Mine got dropped in the toilet, ran over by a car and dropped about a billion times. I can't believe they would have sent the wrong SIM cards, those are usually prepacked in the box with the phones. It sucks that you have to wait.

Don't buy an iPhone, they suck almost as bad as AT&T customer service.
I pay every month for insurance and that is nothing but another AT&T/Apple ripoff.
I get to drive 60+ miles one way today to the Apple store to see if they can fix my iPhone.
Wanna make an appointment at the Apple store??? Gotta load the Safari Web brouser to do that.....what a pile of S**T!!
JMO,
I bought my last Apple product and am probably breaking my association with AT&T today.

We just went with Tracfone because I hate the whole contract thing. These phones were packaged in two separate boxes completely sealed like you would get it at the store so I don't know what went wrong. I wonder if they have a whole line of phones with the wrong SIM card!

Coz I feel the way you do about Apple/ATT about HP. We call them Huge Piles....never, ever again will I make that mistake.Their products and their customer service stinks!

I had SPRINT for twenty years. The reception was good but I switched to Verizon in August, calling to cancel my SPRINT account on 8/15. They're still trying to bill me.

Verizon is the service most of the people I call have. It's free minutes when I call them. "Can you hear me now? You're breaking up. Let me move around a bit. Can you hear me now? How about now?" This is an average "free" conversation.

We use a place for work, I wish I could get personal deals like the ones that run for work do. The phones are super cheap and there is never an issue like this. Where did you order them from??

I have trouble every time I upgrade my phone and it ends up taking hours and lots of bouncing around with customer service to fix. I have Verizon now and I'm a lot happier with them than I was with AT&T, but I think they're all a pain at the end of the day.

Well, we've been extremely happy with Tmobile. When we switched to it, our house was in a verizon dead spot and T mobile had better service across I 80 in Wyoming. That's probably changed by now but we have just had no problems with T mobile.

IF, you are lucky enough to be in an area that has US Cellular, check them out. They have the best customer service of any cell phone company. The only problem is that they do not cover the entire US. We do not pay roaming when we travel, and have never had any problems getting service. Our phones cover areas that our friend's phones do not, and our service is much better. They charge about the same as other companies. They also give you free phones quicker than other companies.
I do NOT work for them, nor do I have any financial interest with them. I am just one very happy customer.

I'm in the market to buy one of the new iPhones and find this conversation disheartening. Why can't the service be as good as the product line? I so have my heart set on the Apple product, but you've given me cause to rethink it.
