I like planes because you get there faster but if I have the time I much rather drive just because you can stop when you want and see the sights along the way.

I do most of my traveling on a motorcycle. It is great for a camper, you can always run into a town, there never more than a quarter of a day away.

At the end of last summer I figured out the bus/metro light rail route to get from my house to my local mountains. That is a really great cost effective and carbon neutral way of camping.

This winter I actually flew for the first time in my 24 (almost 25) years on this planet. I went to CO to snowboard with a buddy of mine that moved out there. Gotta say, alot faster and warmer than the bike. I would still ride out there in the summertime though.

Biking is certainly the best where I'm concerned. Flying is obviously a lot quicker and for comfort etc it wins hands down. However, it's the overall experience you've got to take into account. Biking you get to see a lot of things unfamiliar to you - and it's always beneficial to see new things.

For short excursions the train is fun, my husband can enjoy the view rather than concentrating on the driving, but for long distances it becomes quite frustrating and rarely keeps to the "schedule".
