How about creating a section where we can offer/buy/trade gear? Maybe it won't have a lot of things at first but who knows maybe it even become a place where people will turn to for useful stuff.

Not a bad idea. You never know what people have that you need. I'm not sure this will work and how safe would it be but it is a nice idea.

There's a local geocachers site I used to go to that had a thread in their forum to sell or trade equipment. We never had any problems with any dealings going on. Sometimes folks would arrange a meet up , others would use PayPal and ship stuff.

Why not? It sounds like a good idea. I know that I've got some items of interest that I would like to sell..some of which have never even been used.

Does the 'net have any restrictions?
