| Hi...newbie here and feedback requested Hi,
I live in Southern Oregon, and I work for the National Weather Service. We provide weather support for Northern California and Southern Oregon. My wife and I enjoy camping in some beautiful areas in the Southern Cascades. I grew up fishing in Delaware, and I've yet to become proficient at fishing in these mountain streams and lakes, but I hope to get better as years progress.
Our weather forecast office has developed a website for the public at weather.gov/medford/rec called the Recreation Forecast Page.
We're very interested in feedback so we can make this a better product for the public. What are your initial thoughts on this? Does it seem useful? The purpose of the page is to visualize for users various recreation sites and the weather that impacts them. You can view the Help link for more information. We're considering a version two, with a larger map, adding a search box to look for favorite parks, etc, and a text link section next to the map with recreation site names. Do any of these sound useful? That's our main overall goal...to make this useful so folks are more aware of weather that will impact them.
I hope this doesn't come off as spam...we're just very interested in evaluating this page and improving it in the near future. Thanks for any thoughts.
