Default Looks Like I Found The Right Place
Greetings, from Iowa! First post here. While Googling a camping forum to join, I ran across this one. Damn! -- All my hobbies in one forum! -- Cycling, tent camping, river rafting, and small game hunting (I'm an airgunner). I see a lot of threads and a lot of members, so I think I'll enjoy it here. A little about me: I'm born and raised in Iowa and I'm 35 and a laid off construction worker with the love of the outdoors. If I could live in a tent in the middle of the woods with running water and modern appliances, I would. I better get back to work so I can get that motorhome someday, huh. Well, I better get to reading here Later, all! Great site!

Welcome. I enjoy hiking and some backpacking around Yellow River State Forest along the bluffs. The first time I saw it, I was amazed, being from the east and thinking all along Iowa was flat.
Some of the best coyote music at night I've ever fell asleep to.

Mudder, you sound like you have all sorts of things going on. I've never been to Iowa, but have often wondered about what it's like. It must be rugged, adventuresome country if you've been able to develop all those hobbies. Hope you find lots to interest you here on the forums.
