Default Bean salad

Anyone ever made a salad with beans (green)? We have picked a ton of beans and we were asked to bring a salad this weekend when we camp. I was thinking I could make a cold bean salad. Any ideas?

We do it kinda simple and it's yummy. Fry a few slices of bacon crisp and remove the bacon sautee the green beans lightly till they slightly cooked mix in onion diced and italian salad dressin with a pinch of seasoning toss it and crumble the bacon on top.

Cappy's got it right. And he beat me to the punch.

My sister makes a killer cold bean salad. Mix together green beans, pinto beans, kidney beans, navy beans, garbonzo beans (chickapee), or any beans you want. Add a little onion too, then drench them in a vinegar based dressing, chill overnight and to marinate. It is delicious! I can eat them all day long. I always add more vinegar to mine, because I'm a vinegar hound.

They both sound wonderful! Glad I still have beans left. I've never eaten them cold before so it will be different. I do love vinegar based salads so I know I will love it.

My wife makes a great one but don't have the recipe.
It is similar to familytents but has some ham and pasta in it.

The recipe Cappy shared sounds awesome. I think I might try it next time I have the chance. Everything with bacon in it is delicious

We make one like Cappy's. I also check through the cupboards and add whatever beans we happen to have on hand. We're always buying them on sale and stocking up because they work well in soups. You never know what you might have on hand.

Cook the beans until they are soft but still maintain a little bite. Make a dressing with lemon juice or vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, soft herbs of your choice and you could add a dollop of creme fraiche to make a creamy dressing.

I love green beans but the husband is not that fond of them. When we pack for a trip I do a smaller set of them just for me and the kids. I also sometimes add in a little zucchini or butter.
