| Cooked Bacon I've thought about this for some time and wanted to ask about it. I've seen a lot of older people cook bacon for breakfast and leave it on a plate on the stove (covered of course) and snack on it all day, cold from the plate. Is this safe? I know some bacon has been cured or smoked and is supposed to be stable but could you take something like this on the trail? I'm almost afraid to risk it because of the chance of food poisoning. I SURE don't want to get that sick on the trail and have to hike back. | ||||||||
