Easiest Meals I'll admit it; I'm lazy. I'm all about bringing the canned beef stew and a pot, and just warming it up over the fire. If my fellow campers are lucky, I might bring a loaf of bread to pass around and compliment it. I can only get away with that for one night, though. What's your easiest meal for any lazy camping dinners?

I'm usually backpacking, so I generally carry dehydrated food. At other times though, I like to cut some meat and vegetables into bite sized pieces and put it on a sheet of aluminum foil. I season it, put a tablespoon or so of butter on top, seal it well in the foil, then wrap it in another piece. I like to make up a few with different kinds of meat and vegetables and keep them in the cooler. I cook them in coals for about twenty minutes, cut through the top and eat them right out of the foil. No prep time at the campsite, they pretty much cook themselves and no dishes. Last edited by woodzman; 02-17-2010 at 09:35 AM.

I like to just bring a little grill and have hamburgers and hot dogs. I love the taste of those on the grill and they remind me of camping with my family when I was little.

I just wrap a group of meat, vegetables and seasoning in a foil and cook it over the fire. Beforehand I would prepare cut vegetables and fresh meat before bringing them so there will be less work cooking at the camp.

That's a favorite meal of mine, as well. God bless the man who came up with those tiny grills. They make life so easy sometimes!

I do the same sometimes. I'm all about enjoying my time outdoors. I do sometimes go all out for breakfast. I have a coleman campstove oven and I'll do biscuits and gravy. I have also done pizza and cookies. Simple is generally good.

To me, the easiest and fastest meals take place when my wife and I keep things simple and do hot dogs and hamburgers. The kids especially like using the hot dog holders we have to "cook" their hot dogs.
