Salad can be prepared fairly inexpensively, and meals like chili especially if you have baked potatoes as a side, can go along way. I would say to get a couple of packs of hot dogs to go with it too, but they definitely aren't cheap these days.

So how did it go? I guess I would share what I've prepared in the woods the last time I had a bridal shower at the camp with some female friends. I've prepared some mini-burgers that were already pre-prepared at home, enchiladas, creamy rigatoni pasta and banana split with almonds and chocolate syrup.

It really reminds me of the K.I.S.S. rule but I wondered how it went too. After I read this the other day a friend said they were planning one too, cake and all. Did you guys have cake?
