I absolutely LOVE Frank's Red Hot Sauce. I keep at least two bottles of it in my house at all times. I'd never thought to try it on popcorn, though. My most recent venture has been putting it on my scrambled eggs in the morning... Yum!

My husband loves this stuff. I don't like it at all, but I'm not fond of anything hot. We started buying it when they had all these coupons, which or grocery store doubled. I got about twelve bottles for free early on. Now I'm paying for it because the hubby likes it.

Been doing it for years. Love me some Franks.

Are there any good brands of hot sauce down there besides the famous ones that make it north? What I like about hot sauces is that each is unique!

Sagebrusher, the mind reels dude, this is hot sauce heaven and Franks, aint even offered in most stores cause of the exellent compition. I don't know which "Cajun" sauces are available all over, and remember taste is very individual, but here are a few of our favorites for ya to look for. The very hot is Tabasco's habinerio sauce, the peper is so hot they can include all kind of flavors with out taking away from the heat. Our home 'go to' sauces are Chrystal hot sauce. Cajun Chef both red and green, and La. Hot sauce. We are NOT fans of regular Tobasco sauce. It is too vinergy and does not have a good peper flavor. In our openion. Peg and I eat what most folks call very spicy food, and think nothing of it. Many times guest have called something spicy and we just look at each other and shrug. Our average is most folks spicy.

I agree with you on the Tabasco, although it has it's place. Franks and La. Hot sauce are my "go to" sauces. I got a sampler of a bunch of "no-name" sauces a while back as a present, and they had some interesting variations.

Since we both love spicy food folks are often sending us hot sauces and gift sets of hot sauces for presents. Some we like most we don't. They run the gambit from so mild they shouldnt aughta be called hot sauce to toooo hot to be enjoyed. one flavor we were given that we liked was an aasortment of Marie Sharp sauces from Beleze. A variety of sauces that had varying heat and flavors that were all good.
