| Shrimp and what to do with it Every year when we go camping a buddy of ours always brings shrimp. We never know what to do with it so we toss it on the grill. Do you ever bring shrimp when you camp? What do you do with it (besides grilling)?

| Well, there's shrimp gumbo, fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, barbeque shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp scampi, shrimp sandwiches, shrimp cocktail, shrimp salad...........
If it's fresh, I'd just eat it raw with a little cocktail sauce.

| My ex-mother in law was Jamaican. On Christmas Eve we always had marinated shrimp with onions, capers, and lemon juice. It was like ceviche, and it was spectacular.

| I'll always trek very far,
to get where bar-b-q shrimp are.
Hi...
Yes, barbequed shrimp can be a delicious meal. Using either skewers (soaked in water if they're wooden) or a special grill cover with small holes to keep the shrimp from falling into the coals.
I believe that the best flavor comes from the shrimp being properly marinated. Throw another shrimp on the barbie...they'rs delicious.
I see that Ppine beat me to this post...!!

| I boil them in beer and crab boil until just pink. Serve with coctail sauce or melted butter.
Low Country Shrimp Boil: In a large pot brown some chunks of Kelbasa sausage. Add boiling potatoes, a dark beer, and water to cover along with a pouch of crab boil. Simmer until potatoes are almost done. Add halved ears of corn. When stock returns to a boil add shrimp. Remove from heat when the shrimp turn pink and scoop out ingredients into the middle of a newspaper covered picnic table. Serve with cole slaw, garlic bread and a couple of rolls of paper towels. Yummy!

| Jason,
I listed the ingredients I can remember. Check a ceviche recipe to see how long it needs to marinate. Probably about 12- 24 hours in the refrigerator.
