Crayfish tails cooked with a cigarette lighter-got tired of fishing so we ate the bait-just like mini lobster tails

Stone soup. When I was in high school we had a semi bivouac camping and one of the survival tips they told us was how to make stone soup. Luckily we camped by a river so pebbles are in abundance. We made a pebble soup with all the vegetables we had left. I don't know but it sure tasted not so bad.

I would say that eating any kind of bird other than chicken feels strange, but we have shot and eaten some birds, and I honestly don't know what they were, but.... they tasted like chicken.

Now that I think about it I guess the oddest thing was a beating mako shark heart.
I used to charter fish. That was the deal on our boat when shark fishing. If you aren't going to eat it, we won't bring it on board.

I have heard of stone soup, but what exactly is it? I assume it is literally soup made from boiled rocks? I am not sure it sounds appealing to me.

Trust me...I don't move that fast any more!

I'm a spam lover, the more burnt the better! Haven't had it in a long while though...spam that is.

Mmmmmmm spam and pineapple with a bit of brown sugar. Ever been to Hawaii. They eat Spam constantly. I do like spam but I don't think I could eat as much as they do.

Let's see. The strangest thing I've ever eaten was rattlesnake stew. Didn't know what it was when I ate it. It wasn't bad but wanted to slither out the way it went in when I found out what it was.

That has to be the worst, trying something and then finding out what you are eating and being so repulsed. My friend ate dog intestine in Korea, she couldn't read the menu and she as very disgusted when she found out what she had eaten.

It's an old tale about two travelers who went into a town and tried to beg some food or work for it. No takers so they went into the town square and started boiling water. They tossed in some nicely cleaned rocks and drew a crowd who asked a lot of questions. The travelers tasted the soup and said it was pretty good but some carrots would make it better. somebody in the crowd came up with some carrots. They tasted it again and pulled the same routine with potatoes, then turnips, radishes, mushrooms, broccoli, celery, ad infinitum. Everone ate and was amazed at how good rock soup was.

Back in the day, when I was much younger, had tequila shots for dinner. Slept like a baby and did not have a hangover the next day! Haven't done it since. I think luck like that happens only once! LOL
