Default Fish poisoning

I've fished for years and years and I have been lucky enough not to ever get fish poisoning.

However a friend of mine was not so lucky. He caught a nasty bout of fish poisoning about a week ago and he says he still doesn't feel 100%.

I did some research online and I read that sometimes it can take several months before you get back to normal.

Has anyone else had a run in with fish poisoning?

I've eaten all sorts of fresh caught fish, including crabs, claims, mussels, and other sea life and have yet to get sick. But there are some places I would strictly catch and release due to the quality of the water.

I did once but it was at Burger King lol. I ate a fish sandwich and got sick. But it only lasted a day. We have times here in Florida when we get red tide. Then you can`t even catch the fish cause they all die. If you eat one that you just happen to catch you could get sick too.
