Default Dutch Oven Potatoes & Ham

We got a new dutch oven a few weeks back so we have been trying out some different recipes. Potatoes are one of our favorite foods and this recipe turned out great!

Ham and Potato Au Gratin
We use a 10 inch (4-qt) Dutch Oven.
1-1/2 cups cooked ham, diced
2 cups milk
3 cups potatoes, diced
Season salt and pepper
4 Tbsp margarine
1/2 cup grated cheese
1 onion, minced
2 Tbsp fine bread crumbs
3 Tbsp Flour Melt the margarine and sauté onion in a skillet. Blend in flour to make a light roux. Gradually add milk and cook; stirring until thickened. Add pepper and seasoned salt. Pour over ham and potatoes in Dutch oven. Sprinkle cheese and bread crumbs over top. Bake at 400 for 20 min. or 12 briquettes on bottom and 10 on top.

That looks good. Of course it's got some of my favorite ingredients in it. Plus it uses the Dutch Oven which is one of my favorite things too. I'm going to have to try this out soon. Thanks for the recipe!

This sounds absolutely fabulous, but I would probably have to add more than a 1/2 a cup of cheese. Cheese, ham, and potatoes are some of my favorite foods!

Now you have everyone hungry on this fun Friday, are you going to share? it sounds amazing! We are big ham eaters in this house, not much pork but give me ham any day of the week (morning, noon or night).
