| North Carolina Barbecue Sauce I also have a recipe for a barbecue sauce that a friend gave me. I altered it a bit because I like the apple barbecue sauce that a national chain uses. 1 cup apple cider vinegar 1 whole apple peeled and diced finely 1 stick of margarine 1 cup of ketchup 1 tablespoon of crushed red peppers or to taste (I use just a dash) Warm all ingredients in a pan until the butter is melted and the apples are tender (takes some stirring!). Grill your chicken the regular way and then apply the sauce two or three times while the chicken is finishing being cooked. It's delicious and as I said before, the wood smoke adds a great flavor. Try this one guys, it's really great! | ||||||||
