| I had a friend who owned a rib joint. His were by far the best in the area for many years He has since passed and the business is no longer there. Shortly before his passing, he told me that one of his secrets to good BBQ sauce was that he would add Dry Vermouth to it. Any time I make ribs, I do this and have always received compliments on the ribs. I have no secret in my sauce. I normally buy KC Masterpiece, Sweet Baby Ray or most anything other than Open Pit. Never cared for Open Pit that much. Also, I will mix it up with some sweet and then add some spicy. I like more of a hotness to it than sweet. Then I just add the Dry Vermouth to taste, it really adds a kick to it. Experiment with what you use and see if it doesn't give it a real good flavor.
