Default Super easy delicious chicken

I absolutely adore my crockpot so I am always on the lookout for new recipes. I have seen this one many times before and had just never tried it, but it is super yummy and took all of three minutes to put together.

BBQ Chicken in the crockpot

Chicken
Your favorite BBQ sauce (original recipe calls for a whole bottle, but I didn't use quite that much)
10 ounces of Coke (You can't use Diet!)

Put all ingredients in crockpot, and cook on low for about 8 hours.

I've used the Coke addition lots of time when making pulled pork in the crock pot. It helps tenderize the meat. I've never tried using it with chicken because chicken isn't normally tough. We do use chicken in the crock pot with small amounts of sauce and vinegar. I'll have to try the Coke sometime.

Sounds like a great recipe. I came across one in a magazine that I tried and absolutely loved. It's a one dish meal. Chunked potatoes and carrots tossed in olive oil, chopped garlic, chopped onions, salt and pepper. Spread on bottom of baking dish. Lay chicken pieces on top of veggies. Spread remainder of olive oil toss over chicken. Cover with tin foil and cook in 350 oven until done. 45 min. to an hour. It is delicious. If anyone is interested, I'll come back with the exact proportions.

I think I might try that, it sounds yummy and we do love our chicken. Is this something you found or something you just tinkered around with to see if it worked?

That sounds yummy too Rayne. I have seen lots of the Coke recipes before and had just never given it a try. Now I'm going to have to try it on pork. The last few times we have gotten chops they have been too tough.

Barbeque sauce comes in several sizes. How much did you use in ounces?

Super easy Italian baked chicken:

In 8x8 inch baking dish place about 10-12 defrosted chicken tenderloins.
Preheat oven to about 350.
Pour enough Italian dressing over the chicken to just cover it. Bake for 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and sprinkle a thick layer of grated parmesan cheese.
Return to oven and bake an additional 10-12 minutes or until cheese has started to brown.

We usually serve this with garlic bread and baked potato.

Dinosaur I used about 3/4's of a 17 ounce bottle. The original recipe called for a whole 17 ounce bottle, but my chicken was thoroughly covered so I didn't want to go overboard. I figured you could always add more when it was served if necessary. WVbream that recipe sounds good too!
