| What's a good age? I got into hunting and shooting as an adult, but now I want to teach my nephew about rifles. He's only about 8, which I think is too young but I'm not really sure what the right age should be. He has asked me about guns and shooting and I've told him when he gets older I will teach him about guns. I want to teach him so he learns the right way to handle a weapon and what not to do while he still has an interest in learning, before someone else takes it upon themselves to teach him bad habits. |

| I`m not into hunting. But as for what age is right to start teaching them about guns I would say it depends on the child and his maturity. I wouldn`t take him hunting at that age but to teach him about guns and the safety first would be a good idea if he seems interested in hunting some day with you. |
