Bungee Cords

The last time I went camping I was thinking how bungee cords had helped me to do a lot of things much easier. Tying down things are much easier now with bungee cords than with ropes. I have used bungee cords for temporary hinges too. What is the strangest thing you have used bungee cords for or you have seen bungee cords used for?

We once saw someone's dog staked out with a bunch of bungee cords strung together. I thought that was rather strange but I'm sure there are stranger things people have seen.

I don't know if this counts as strange ... but my hiking pants are just a tad too long, so when it's muddy, I use two small bungie cords to affix my pants to my boots. Similar to the elastic bottoms of sweatpants.
