Need duffle for a camp I am going camping to Illinois. I was looking for a duffle that can be stationed at the camp while I go exploring the parks. What do you guys use for a trip like this and what would you recommend for me?

Duffle is a good idea for the kind of travel you’re planning. Duffle bags usually have a lot of space to carry clothes, gear, and other essentials you’ll need for a camping trip. Eagle Creek (http://www.eaglecreek.com/) is a good option to explore. It’s one of the top brands for adventure luggage. I also saw some interesting products from Briggs & Riley’s new BRX (http://www.briggs-riley.com/category/group.aspx?col=BRX) collection. I think they also have a couple of duffle bags in their latest collection.

Years back I used to work for a company that required me to travel a lot and for a few weeks at a time. They bought me a heavy canvas hockey bag and sewed a huge company logo on it. I still use this same bag and it is at least 15 years old and still in excellent shape. I can pack a lot of junk in that thing lol. I don't know much about this bag or that, but I do know this, you can't go wrong with a heavy canvas hockey style bag, they are big, tough, and apparently last forever. Mine has a waterproof bottom sewn into it so if I accidentally place it on wet ground my gear still stays dry. Oongawa

Thanks for the great advice, Julie. I did check out some options on Briggs & Riley and Eagle Creek based on your suggestion. I like this exchange duffle (http://www.briggs-riley.com/category...-Duffle_BD126X) from BRX and this duffle bag (http://www.rei.com/product/764740) from Eagle Creek. Both of them are similar in size and capacity, but the BRX one has a couple of interesting features. It can be converted into a backpack and can also be expanded for 3” of additional space. I’ll do a little more research before deciding on which one to go for. Last edited by Lawrence00; 05-25-2010 at 12:07 AM.
