| Fold and roll....some will say never fold your tent the same way thus keeping the crease from eroding your nylon...I have never had a problem with folding my tents and I have been doing this for 35 plus years now.

| Fold and roll, always.
Every once in a while some new buzz comes along and I remember when stuffing was explained to me but I never did buy into it. Seems like six of one and half a dozen of the other. I don't know if one is more or less destructive as the other but crumbling up the fabric and then compacting it seems like it might be moreso.

| Good, then I am in agreement with two experts. Thanks
The issue came up a couple of years ago and one of my group was all into stuffing. I stuck with what I have been doing for years as well.

| I fold and roll. In terms of wear and tear, although there's always a debate, I don't believe it matters either way. I like to fold and roll, because I can get my tent up faster when I pull it out of the sack ready to simply unfold and stake, nice and neat and properly lined up with the fly and footprint.

| Fold and roll for sure. Makes a more compact package, easier to squeeze air out of, and leaves the tent more organized and easier to set up.

| Fold and roll except for when heading home and the tent is wet, then I spread it out and it is usually dry by the time I get there.

| I must be the oddball here as I have been stuffing my backpacking tents for at least 30 years.

| I fold and roll too but only because I can get it packed into a smaller space that way not out of some folding vs stuffing longevity opinion. If I used the tent more often I might try a compression sack but I mostly hammock now.
