I understand that synthetic under garments have excellent wicking properties but they are usually so uncomfortable to wear. Is there a synthetic material that is?

I have a Reebok 60% Polyester microfiber/40% cotton Tee, that is super comfortable. I wore it all through my AT section hike back in June.

I'm waiting on summer stuff to go on sale to pick up a couple more. The big drawback is the ridiculous ($40) normal price.

I like wearing cotton/polyester combo too. It gets good properties from both worlds. As wvbreamfisherman said, it can be super comfortable. I have a Rotcho 60/40 Tee like this.

The Ex-Officio boxer briefs are the only thing I can wear on the trail. I have tried a few cheaper options but always end up with chaffing. The EOs are pricey and I would not pay that price except for the fact they work and work much better than anything else I have tried.

I just wear the "starter" brand boxer brief. Excellent feel and no chafing.

There's nothing else that feels like good, quality cotton. I wear it whenever I can, but it does take extra ironing and attention when washing and drying. I'm particular about my sheets, too, even when we are supposed to be camping.
