I wouldn't do it personally because I do not like fixed campers. I think the beauty of camping is being able to travel and explore, not being fixed in one position. It's down to your personal preference. Go for it if it's right for you.

It really depends on the condition of the camper. How long has it been sitting outside in the campground? Make sure to carefully inspect it inside and out. Here's a checklist that you can use to guide you checking it: How to buy an RV - CampingRoadTrip.com

If you can have a friend who is familiar with the model of the camper you're looking at to buy, try to bring him or her to also inspect the camper and see if it's really worth buying.
