| RV shows are great fun because you can turn your imagination wild. The new designs always have some new ways to use space. I would never be tempted by a new RV because they depreciate so fast, and most people don't own them very long (average less than 5 years). There is no perfect RV. Most people go thru a progression of types trying to find the one that is most suitable. It is a lot less costly to buy a decent used unit which can always be sold to buy the next one.
For warm weather I like the pop-up trailers. A camper on a pick-up is handy on a truck dedicated to it. A travel trailer is ready to go and great for colder weather. For long trips, over 2 weeks motorhomes and fifth wheels are like being at home.
