For families with small kids they would be swell. Just make sure your kids get the tent experience. Maybe they can sleep in a tent sometimes to give Mom and Dad some privacy. Tha's what we always did in our family. The folks slept in a big umbrella tent in those days and we slept in pup tents. Then we got a boat and the folks slept below and the kids slept in the cockpit in good weather. | They definitely will get the tent experience, eventually, but they are only 2 and 3 so I wouldn't be comfortable having them in a tent alone or just in the yard because they can get scared easily.
