Default What is the best way to find a used camper

What do you think is the best way to find a good but legitimate deal on a used camper? I have seen there are a lot for sale on Ebay and craigslist. I am trying to figure out if I should go this route or look to buy from someone totally locally.

I would look locally on Craigslist. I think it would be a pain to buy a camper off of eBay because you have to drive to pick it up and it could get costly. Also, you may want to check it out before you drive all that ways to buy it. Try taking the city or country route instead of the highway. You might get lucky and see a camper for sale on the side of the road. This is probably the best way to find a camper because they won't be overpriced. Good luck!

Pick up your local sales papers, they are free. News on wheels for example has a camper section. I know its old school but it works. Look in the local paper or if ya too techy for that look at the papers want ads on line. also just keep ya eyes open. I see campers in peo[ples ayrd all the time for sale. Check them thouroghly before buying. If ya not sure bring some ole guy ya know that knows. Everyone knows a old camper guy. use his brain. bring him with ya to check it out.

If you are handy and want a cheap deal where you might have to do some work on it then I would put a want ad in the local paper.

You can start checking out on Craigslist, and then call them to make inquiries. Another option is to head over to your local dealer. Many of them sell both brand new and used RVs. Third option is to go and check the different credit unions or banks there if they got any RVs that they have repossessed. Then of course, there are the traditional newspaper ads too.

In the PA area, there's Reedman. Best place (imo) to find new and used vehicles. If you live nearby or have a chance to drop by, it's at Langhorne, PA.

Do RVs get repossessed? I don't think most banks will write out a secured loan against an RV. They make you get personal loans at higher rates.

RVs get repossessed all the time. They are low on the priority list when when people make their payments. It would be a good idea to investigate those type of vehicles to save money.

I would check Craigslist, but be wary of scams. You may also just check the local paper. I know there are plenty of people who still take the time to make local advertisements in the paper.
