If you're going to go and bid, I'd suggest to just do a Google search for RV auctions being held in your area rather than bidding on eBay. At least, you could inspect the RV first before even making a bid. Much safer than just relying on pictures.

I'd look for news items about people who died while camping and then go to the estate sale.

The trailers we have bought used have been from friends or friends of friends. We have had permanent spot in a campground for many years so as people move in and out we know when trailers are going up for sale.

You can search online for used-campers. There are loads of people wanting to sell their camper and they usually advertise online. I'm sure you will be able to find a suitable camper if you search online.
