Default Anyone been stuck?

I'm interested in hearing some real life stories from you guys about wilderness survival. Has anyone here ever been stuck out there for days (maybe weeks) on end against the elements?

Never and I am super glad that I have not been stuck out there. I would probably handle it better than I think I would. I could see me screaming and going crazy for help!

I have gotten lost and thought I was going to be stuck but I have always been able to get myself out of it. If I am someplace where getting stuck is a worry I double check my supplies.

Got lost once as a kid. I sat down and watched to see which way the sun moved across the sky. That gave me the general direction to walk out of the woods.

Does being on a sailboat in storm-force winds, and having to find a safe anchorage to weather the weather for five days, count? We were in the middle of absolute nowhere up the B.C. Coast at the time.

Our three-year old son got lost in our woods. He ended up following our stream (a tiny little wet-weather thing that was barely ankle-deep at the time) and found his way out.

Smart kid Bobby! That's great that he was able to do that at that age. Kind of makes you wonder about reincarnation doesn't it? No, I haven't gotten stuck-yet. But you never know what's going to happen in this life do you?
