Looks to me like a guide or someone get them way to close to that bears food source. Asking for trouble me thinks.

Michael, thank you. Interesting video. But....No way I'm getting that close to a bear unless I'm inside a vehicle (like an armored HumVee) or carrying a .50BMG.

My compliments to the steadfastness of the observers. I think I would be tripping the guy next to me as I slowly crept out of there.

Yeah, I agree: That's insanely close to get to grizzlies with a group of tourists.

I'd be much more inclined to take them several hundred yards away and tell them to bring binoculars and cameras with telephoto lenses. Even then, I'd want someone with an appropriately large firearm on hand in case something went wrong. Because all it takes is someone looking at the bear in a way it doesn't like or that their close smell of something a human nose can't even detect and a grizzly might rip you to pieces.

Holy cow! That is crazy. I for one am not going to go and watch the Grizzly bears! I don't want to be anywhere near them. I just don't trust them. They are animals and they can charge!

This location is the one place on earth where people bear interactions happen all the time. The tourists are instructed to stay still no matter what happens. Someday someone will probably get killed, but the bears have a lot of experience with passive tourists. These events happen pretty often.
