That's why you never want to threaten a predator.

Absolutely great write up. Would you mind if I turned it into an article for the main page?

Are alligators especially dangerous around mating season? Is there any precautions we should take? Maybe they gather abundantly in certain areas during the season I mean, or something? Or do the regular precautions apply the same? Great post. I always wondered about many points you brought up.

Go right ahead. Let me know if you need any other info, stories, experiences, etc. Glad to help any way I can.

Familytents, alligators can be very aggressive during mating season. They are territorial animals, usually sticking to one area as long as they have food, water, etc. During mating season they can become protective of their territory and really don't want to be disturbed. Mating season begins in the spring and males emit a deep, loud groan. Alligator mating calls - YouTube Give gators their space and if you hear their mating call, give them more space.

Thank you. Always looking for writers for stories/articles. I had one site that was nice, Microsoft was picking people off the site for the MVP program and a few other companies would pick out members for stuff. There was also a few freebies for reviews I would send to members. Would love to get it like that here.

Although there are no programs for the outdoors like Microsofts MVP program, it would be great to see a few people get picked up to write an article or two for magazines and such. Or to get free products for them to review.
