I caught most of the 2nd hour, then watched an hour about the Ron Barrett family business. That was very interesting how he and his kids developed the Barrett rifles. The preppers came on again after that and I watched the first part of the first segment.
They basically interviewed multiple prepper families, showing all the preps they had made, then critiqued their ways and after a period of time came back and saw what changes the family had made. Some very interesting ideas were presented. NG was positive about the whole idea of prepping.
As I watched, my critique of some of the people was they were geared for a specific earth shattering calamity rather than all the possibilites. Two were geared for earthquakes, (San Andreas, New Madrid faults) one for a pole shift, and one for economic collapse. Only two that I saw were ready for a broader range of problems. In my mind, life still must go on if there is no catastrophe, and preps need to be made around normal living whereas some of the people were getting so dug in and so devout they no longer were living normal lives. Prepping was their life.
Altogether very interesting and educational if you are in the prepper mode. I saw things that I need to think about incorporting and I saw mentalities I would like to avoid.
