Default Paracord bracelets or necklaces?

I've purchased paracord survival bracelets before but I've been told it's not that difficult to make your own accessories with paracord. I'd like to find some instructions for making bracelets, necklaces and belts. I wouldn't mind learning of the least expensive source for bulk paracord, either.

Haven't tried it myself, but there is a pretty good tutorial on instructables dot com. I can't post a link because I'm new here, but just go to the site and search for paracord. It's the first result.

They also show related projects with paracord in the right sidebar, including a dog collar, watch band, key fob, etc.

Hi...

Yes, they are quite easy to make. Almost all camping/survival web sites have paracord for sale in bulk.

Are you interested in them as an actual emergency device, or just as something different to wear?

More and more people are wearing the bracelets today...and if you asked those wearers what they are for...they probably wouldn't have any idea.

In a qenuine survival situation, you might wish you were carrying more paracord than just what's in a bracelet or necklace. Paracord has myriad uses when afield.

I printed out instructions off this site, I made several bracelets and a watch band. The watch band wasn't all that comfortable, and I really don't care for the bracelets. I have other ways to carry para cord in the field.

Yes, as actual emergency supplies. I know that you'd need more than just what is in a bracelet or necklace, that's why I was thinking belts would be good. The jewelry type items are good for a camping trip but I'm actually thinking of 'doomsday prep', to be honest.

Not that I think it's going to happen, necessarily, but I'm trying to get prepared for anything. I firmly believe our society is breaking down and who knows what could happen over the next few years?

I have para cord wrapped around the handle of hiking staffs, knife sheaths & knife handles. More than enough to get me buy. I would never use para cord for any kind of necklace. I also have boot laces made of it.

Just roll up several yards and tie off with a knot, then toss in the bottom of toolbox or backpack.
