| Talk about survival...!!! Hi...
I had seen a few seconds of a story yesterday, and finally was able to pull it up on Yahoo.
02-18-12 BBC News Europe:
A Swedish man has survived being trapped in his snow-covered car for TWO MONTHS WITHOUT FOOD, police say.
The car was found Friday at the end of a forest track more than 1 km from a main road in northern Sweden
Police said the temps in the area had recently dropped to -22F.
(A lot more details are in the report).

| I'd like to hear more about how he lasted so long, there's most likely some good info to learn from.

| The news said that he rested almost all the time and decreased his metabolism and respiration rates. It might be useful to investigate this story further to see if we might learn something useful for survival training.

| I think the mental stress would be the hardest part. After all that rest throughout the day, it wold make for some pretty long nights.

| That's one way to drop a few unwanted pounds.
If you sign up for a Survival School and it's cancelled for bad weather, you didn't miss much. |

| In the story I read the "experts" were saying that most likely his body went into a hibernation state like a bear, and that is how he was able to survive for so long in such extreme conditions.
