Do You Camp Away From Everyone? I usually won't camp until I've hiked on a trail for a ways. I would rather be by myself and listen to all the sounds and see things that aren't there when all the people are, so I usually go into some wilderness areas. Do you like to camp away from everyone else?

No, I like to camp in campgrounds and around people. I think that is all part of camping (neighbors). You never know what kind of friendships you will make when camping. I've never really camped where you walk a trail and camp.

I'm with you we go primative meaning no bathrooms no showers no PEOPLE. We go to get away from people.

I haven't been camping much yet but I know the people who pulled down the road from us the last time I went were so loud and annoying. Brings out the temper in a person.

I prefer to camp without a bunch of people around as well. If I am going to be in the great outdoors I don't want to hear people sounds, I want to hear nature and bask in her glory.

I agree. If I want to be around people, I'll stay home. If I want to be in the wild-that's where I go. I really don't like to be around a bunch of noise and commotion when I go camping. My wife and I prefer the quiet.

I don't want to be completely alone, that's a little too scary for me. I usually try to go with friends or family and we try to get far from strangers. Solitude is great, but you never know when something could happen that you would need someone there.

I like to do a mix. Sometimes I go camping at campgrounds, other times I like to find a spot out in the middle of nowhere.

For me, the whole idea is to get away from it all. I usually camp either alone, or with a friend or two and always away from the trails and public sites.
