Don't Forget to Waterproof

I have a big waterproof Berghaus jacket. It cost me 300 dollars but it was worth every penny. I have been wearing it for 5 years now and it is still as good as new. I also take tarp on occasion, a handy resource.

I always take multiple tarps but there are places you really can't use a tarp over the tent. Ever try to set one up as cover on an ocean beach? I did that once and it was like flying a 10sqft flag in high winds.
