Fighting the bugs

Bugs don't bother me too much, it's mainly all of the mosquitoes that drive me crazy. What is your favorite way of warding off the mosquitoes?

Other than the chemicals, certain foods are supposed to help. I eat a lot of Marmite which is apparently a repellent, and certainly I don't attract many of the nasty buggers.

What the heck is Marmite. I see it looks like some kind of spread, and I read something about a yeast extract? If you eat it, what the heck is it?

You can use a mosquito net when you sleep at night. It keeps out not only the mosquitoes in your sleeping area, but other insects as well.

Repel 100 works great, even on the monster mosquitoes we have in Louisiana

I hate mosquitoes. They are evil. My youngest is afraid of them for some reason. I am always looking for a better way to avoid getting bit and attracting them.

Mosquitoes are not mean. They want to survive just like us. How could they survive if they didn't take humans or other animals' blood? Still I hate them. To keep them from sucking your blood, a mosquito net will do the trick.

Because I'm allergic to mosquito bites I use just about anything that has DEET in it. On top of that I use an area yard spray just before I set up my tent.
