Default Renting A Camper

I recently learned there is a new service in my area where you can rent RVs, pop ups, and other types of campers. Has anyone ever done this? I would be interested in getting an RV and going on a longer trip. If you did it, how did it work and were you satisfied.

I have never rented a camper or RV but I think it's a great idea. I wonder what the cost is. I bet you have to pay an insurance fee too in case something happens to the camper (or deposit like when you rent a home). Do you have prices?

I've never rented one either, but earlier in the year we looked into it (decided just to invest in a new tent instead LOL)
for a small class C that slept up to 5, it was about $250 a day, depending on the mileage package etc.

I'd buy a new tent too at that price. I'm cheap though ahh that's frugal.

LOL ^ That sounds like me, charley. I could do a whole lot with $250 a day plus the extra gas it would take to haul the thing with the truck. I think my large tent would be just fine for my wife and I.

That really sounds expensive! If you wanted to go away for a week or two. But then maybe they have cheaper prices if you rent for longer periods? I was thinking renting might be the way to go if you were seriously thinking of buying one, then you would get the idea of how you like it.
