Default Rips and tears

Found a tear in my tent a couple of weeks ago and trying to figure out how to fix it. Saw this product at a big box store that is a nylon adhesive patch. Going to try that out and see how it goes.

Hi...

I've seen patching tape advertised for the purpose of repairing rips in sails. Never had a reason to purchase any, but often wondered if it lived up to its propaganda.

NOTE:

I used the peel a stick nylon patches before. After you put the patch on, spray a coat of clear silicon water proofing over the patch. This helps to keep the patch from peeling loose. Also cut the corners so the are rounded as this too seems to help keep the path from peeling loose.

Thanks for the tip hikenhunter on the use of the silicon spray. I need to get the tent repaired before my son heads out on a week long camp with the Scouts.

X2 on this. I'd suggest spraying the silicon water a little bit beyond the patch to make sure that it stays put.

Patches are fine when in a lack of threads.
