Default Making hiking trails

We are going to take the 4-wheeler out tomorrow and clean up our trails through our woods. We went to take a hike last weekend and I could not believe the number of limbs and brush that were in the way. How often do you clean up your trails? We will take a small chainsaw too.

Sounds like a fun time!

I don't have land that is that big but it's in the plans. I would sharpen my machetes if I were you because that is a lot more fun. Bring your saw for bigger limbs though.

I don't have the property now, but when I was growing up and at my parents house, my sister and I had a couple of hiking trails. Seems like every spring there was minor clean up of debris that fell from the winter snows weighing the trees down.

So, for me, it was an annual thing, and just clean up stuff as it fell.

We don't have any trails but we do have some pasture land that we have to pick up stuff from occasionally. We had a bunch of straight line winds here in June that we had to go clean up after. It actually pushed over a tree or two for us. Makes good wood for the stove this winter.

Never. There are too many of them. Go around or carry an axe for horse pack trips.
