600 lumens is a lot lot if you just want to hike but 200 something is excellent for night hiking. You never stated a brand just features of these two. Go with Fenix, best quality for price. Surefire is ridiculously expensive, maybe 5-6x than Fenix for same stuff. You know, buying US made stuff which costs 10 times the same Chinese quality is not patriotism. Surefire should get that.
