Taking animals with you I always take my dog with me hiking around my house. We hike out back in the woods and there is a crick for her to drink in. She loves to play in the water too when it's really hot out. Do you take your dogs with you?

Sure a lot of times we will take our dogs with us too. Not every time though, sometimes we make them stay home. They get plenty of exercise running around the yard. We don't have a crick but we do have a lot of trails.

Crick! I love it! We say it too and when we do some people look at us like we're nuts. Anyhow, I think dogs can benefit from a hike just as much as people. It's great that you are bringing your pet along!

I say crick too and others say creek. I laugh at them! We also take our dogs with us on some hikes. It's a ton of fun! They get exercise and they love to spend time with us.

We love taking our dogs on hikes. They warn us if there are dangers ahead like a snake or other animals or people. But they can also get too far.

Man, my dog looks at snakes, then walks around them. I have to watch out for myself. But he is good about keeping the racoons from digging in my pack. Just keep your dogs from terrorizing other hikers and the local wildlife. Scaring animals away from your pack is one thing, but if your dog is chasing every rabbit, squirrel and coon out there, you're having a negative impact on the environment.
