| I'll bring my smaller daypack when I'm traveling and out for a day of sightseeing or geocaching. I wear it skiing too. I also wore it when I was commuting to NYC and was on crutches.
But for general day to day being out and about, I don't bring enough with me to warrant carrying a backpack. If it's business oriented I have my briefcase. Otherwise all I ever with me are my car keys, wallet, iPod and cell phone. No need for a backpack for that.
