Default Backpacking in Texas around Tyler

I am looking forward to my trip to Tyler, Texas and will definitely want to go backpacking for a couple of days. Do you have any recommendations? Doesn't have to be in Tyler but somewhere near.

Not sure if I can post a link here so I will try to give a description of how to get to the site. There is another forum hosted by a popular backpacking publication called "Backpacker". This publication has a web site that host a forum. That forum as threads for different areas of the county. I bet you could find someone there that lives in the area that you are traveling to. Wont post a line but bet you can figure it out since the name of the magazine is backpacker.
