Arrow Mountains to Planes?

What is your preferred terrain for hiking, trekking, backpacking? I adore spending time in the mountains, they are a bigger challenge. Plains are boring in a way.

It's all good, but I too prefer the mountains. More water up there.

IF by planes you mean flat grassland don't care much for that. Like being in wooded areas. If wooded enjoy both however the views are better on the Mountains.

I perfer the mountains because I like the cooler weather. The plains are ok if there is something to see. Hiking can get boring if all you see all day is scrub brush and weeds. Plus the mountains have alot of water sources, and the views are to die for. Although you really work your tail end off to get there.

Alice came to a fork in the road," Which road do I take"? she asked.
"Where do you want to go"? responded the cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter".

I like hilly to mountainous forest. I really like watching the ecosystem change as the elevation changes.

There's a place near where I live. The top of the rock face is maybe 100 feet above the highway, tops. But everything at the top is different than stuff at the bottom. The trees are different, and the animals are different. When you stand on the top and look out, all the trees have needles for about 30 feet, then suddenly they all have leaves. There's this amazingly sudden change as you hike up and down the hills.

My legs like the flat land but I love the mountains and wooded areas too. It is usually cooler the farther you walk up and we do a lot of hiking in the summer, so cooler is better.

I like the mountains especially when I get to the summit and get a panoramic view of the lowland. It gives me an awesome sense of accomplishment. Something that no one can take away from me.
