Default Stocking up

We are getting all of our items in a set and had to replace a tent and a backpack. So far we got a Coleman Sig Instant Tent for a decent price and Kelty Red Cloud backpack (for me).

I can not wait to test the stuff out and see how durable it is with our bunch. Not too familer with Kelty Red, any others here that are fans?

I have a red cloud 5600 that is my main expedition pack. It has seen a lot of use in the last 6 years and is still in excellent shape. It is a bit heavier than some of the higher end packs but carries the heavier loads much better than my gregory. Son-in-law has the 6600 but he is a big man. I don't think I could handle it but he likes it when he has a youngster with so he can carry extra.

It depends what you want to take with but I have no problem for room carrying for a 10 day trip.

We have not been able to test it out yet but we are thinking we might do some smaller hike and camping trips around the 4th. An uncle in the family has a large farm and since we visit for the holidays, might as well make it a camping trip.....its not like he does not have the land for it towards the mountains.
