Default Teton Sports Backpacks?

I consider backpack to be the most important part of my gear because cheap crap will rip very easily leaving you with a lot of gear to carry in your hands. Therefore I bought packs only from reputable companies. I recently heard about Tent Sports backpacks from Utah. Any experience with them?

I just checked their reviews at Amazon and I can say that product this new got some quality reviews from people. Although you can't consider all Amazon customers experts 4.5 stars is pretty high.

I don't buy those packs. The suspension system is not the quality of a Osprey or Granite Gear packs. You get exactly what you pay for when it comes to packs......Remember If a stitch breaks out in the wilderness it could spell disaster.
I have seen these packs with Boy scouts and noticed they do not ride as well as a Osprey or Granite Gear. They do look pretty though but pretty doesn't get me and my gear in and out.
How much money do you want to spend on a pack? Go to Campmor or REI online stores and look at there selections.. also go to an outfitter store as they can hook you up to a fitted Backpack.
Good luck

So, did you just saw one or had one? I carry REI and Osprey packs usually. I asked about these because they are on 60% sale and reviews are great.

Was just looking at them on Amazon after reading your post. The pack is heavy at 5lbs and also concerned that the specs don't say what material the pack is made of. I also think that the zippers and seams may be an issue as well. Its hard to tell without seeing the pack and how it is stitched and what material was used.

Here are a few packs that are not really expensive that I would not be afraid of purchasing. In fact I have the North Face Terra 65. Pretty good pack but don't believe the 60 lbs rating. It would really suck at that weight. I wouldn't recommended for comfort going over 35 lbs. I had 40 in mine for a 15 male hike and found the fitting system and suspension was to weak for that weight.

Kelty Pawnee

The North Face Terra 65

Jansport Klamath

Don't get me wrong none of these option are ultra light but there is no suck thing at these price points. Also to be able to use ultra light pack you need to keep the weight of you contents to under 30 lbs or so and that is not easy to do on a budget. Since this is referring to total weight including food and water.
