Does anyone else know of a cave, that became something like this? | They had a bar in there during prohibition. Been through it severals times, it has always been on private land but nobody really cared until a few years ago. If you are in the Blount County are, you know there are holes everywhere that lead to cave. Right at the exit on I65 at Logan's store is a cave at the end of the old road. I think it is known as Bryant cave. There was another big cave down by Bangor but it had a good bit of water in it. Up near Hwy 72 from Huntsville to TN are many caves.
The best "unknown cave" was down below Pelham off 219 or something like that. That cave was fairly dry, pretty long and had a wide array of features. But that was almost 30 years ago, I bet there is a subdivision on it now.
If you sign up for a Survival School and it's cancelled for bad weather, you didn't miss much. |
