Lights and how many?

How many lights do you take when you go caving? I’ve always carried 3 with me (3 was the magic number). I wear a head lamp on my helmet and carry a flashlight and glow sticks. Most times the flashlight and glow sticks are in my backpack. How many do you take with you? It’s also important to take batteries! You would hate to be on your own with no light!

It really depends how many people there are. If it is just me then I have 3, a head lamp, mag light and small key chain flashlight. If there are more than I usually make sure each person has a designated flashlight and 2 lamps for the campsite itself.

I agree, it depends on how many people there are. I used to just carry one really good flashlight. Now I have a head lamp too and I would not leave home without it.

I always carry 3 a headlamp, 2 small led flashlights. Plus extra batteries.
