Default Abandoned Boats

I was reading that there are some places in the US where abandoned boats have become a huge problem. I guess people abandoned them when they start breaking down and become to old. That got me thinking, how do you throw a boat away?

We were actually watching one of those Shore Patrol shows one night and they were in the Miami area. They were looking for a fugitive that they suspected was living on an abandon boat out in the bay. They were just dozens of them that the homeless were living on. The owners had just left them there in the water. It was amazing to see.

That sounds amazing LindaLou. I do imagine that with the economy like it is they had a lot of people that couldn't afford all those fancy boats anymore and just left them there. I wonder why the banks didn't try to get some of them back though?

They aren't all fancy boats. Some of them are very dilapidated. Still, if there were a way to change funding around it might be an idea to fun a homeless person to fix the boat up to a livable condition.
