Default Anti-tubing

Years ago I remember going with friends out to the lake to tube. Between falling off several times and having one bust on me I am totally against doing it in my adult years now. Has anyone else has a similar horror story and anti tubing?

Ruined a nice ski parka once going through a barb wire fence that was "beyond reach". Amazing how much speed you can get with a big fat guy on one.

The only thing that saved me was the little girl that I slammed into and pushed through ahead of me.

Yes, that was the last time for me, and the girl only had minor injuries.

I will tube but I will never snowboard again. I had one break on me coming down off a smaller sized hill and decided never again. Nothing broke except the board and I have trashed dozens of skateboards but for some reason the mix of board and snowy ice bothered me.

Got a mean whiplash once when I was a teen and haven't been on since.. Don't have kids yet but don't think I will want them tubing, I cringe every time I see my nieces and nephews on one..

Saw the original post concerned tubing on water. OOoops me bad, we do a lot of snow tubing around here too, that's what my original post was about.

But yes, have rented tubes to float the Yampa at Steamboat when son was playing baseball there a couple summers, as well as keeping tubes around when we were swimming in the local reservoirs. But most of our streams big enough to float are also too white water for it.
